Bounce to Disk
I'm bouncing a mix to disk but I am running 1 Aux input directly from a sequencer slaved to the USD MTC output. The only problem is that apparently the USD does not output MTC during a "Bounce to Disk" Is there a feature I must enable????
Also has anyone had any problems with the iLOK authorizer. It's installed on my mac but sometimes PT does not recognize the key!!! Go figure!!! Thanks |

Re: Bounce to Disk
MTC is output whenever LTC is output. Therefore, you need to do the following:
-Establish communication with the USD (Setups>Peripherals>Synchronization) -Open the Session Setup Window -Enable "Using USD" from the Generate Timecode field -Choose your Clock Reference -Enable the "Online" button on the Transport. -Click Play Brent |

Re: Bounce to Disk
I don't know if you are using the iLok on a non USB machine (USB card) but after a week or so of trying to get a Keyspan card in an expansion chasis to work reliably I have given up. Sometimes its seen, sometimes not, and always the inevitable crash. I am going with Ch/Resp for now and will document my woes for BF and Digi

Re: Bounce to Disk
Tech Support,
I've done what you said to do in the session set-up window, however, during a "Bounce to Disk" the USD still does not output any type of data. No SMPTE, no MTC, nothing. What am I missing???? Thanks |

Re: Bounce to Disk
I think you're just going to have to record it to two tracks when you're ready to bounce... I know, it stinks

There was a bug in PT 5.1 that prevented MTC from being generated/sent to the IAC bus (i.e. when slaving a sequencer in the background). Based on your report, it appears you are suffering from the same behavior. -This is fixed in PT 5.1.1 Brent |
