no plug ins are working on my 002r

i am just finishing up a project and none of my plug ins will work. when i hit preview it works and when i hit process the process window comes up. but when i play back nothing changes and the audio is still the same. anyone know what can be causing this. i have a 2ghz g5 with 6.2.2

Your using the audio suite plugins it sounds like.... Theres are not real time plug-ins so when you hit preview it will play it back....Once you hit process it will, depending on your settings, make a seperate audio region with the non-realtime plugin affecting it. If you want something real time your gonna want to use the RTAS plugins on your inserts. This is pretty basic stuff that is in your manual. Dont mean to come off wrong but, you've got the cash for the toys, you just need to spend a little time and read the manual.

i understand all that. I have been using them for the past few months without any problems. just this past week they stopped working. sometimes ill accidently lean on my keyboard, im thinking i changed a setting somehow. also i can usually just click where i want play back to start, i can no longer do that, i have to scroll to where i want play back to start. any ideas what i did to mess these things up?

Make sure you're not using "Low Latency Monitoring".

If you're using audiosuite plug-ins, which it seems that you are, and you want the processed audio to be placed in the track where the original was located, which it sounds like you do, you need to enable the "use in playlist" button in the upper right corner of the audiosuite plug-in window. If that's not highlighted (lit in white), the processed file will be placed in the region list, but not the track.

As for the locating problem, make sure you have the "edit timeline link" selected. That's the little button in the black area under the zoom controls. It has the up and down arrows in it. Make sure it's bordered in blue. You can check the manual for an explaination of that control, but that sounds like what's happened (it got deselected). You can also enable/disable that function under the operations menu: Link Edit/Timeline Selection.
