Faders turn mutes on and off (Hellllppp!!!)

I just got a Fostex VM 200. I have been trying to accomplish using this as a simple control surface.l I just want to be able to use the faders, mute and solos. So far I have been able to control the motorized faders from Protools when I use the Hui as a control device in Protools. When I choose the CM-10.The and move the faders on the Mixer all it does is Turn the mutes on and off in Protools. Also At one point , I actually was able to conrol the Pan L & R.

Using a Mac. Any help or comments would be highly appreciated.

I have been at this for 3 days now. I just was able to get the faders in protools to respond and the Pans. I used the P-1600 personality file. It only has control for 8 . All I did was change the channels in the Fostex that were normaly set to 9 thru 16 to 1 thru 8. Then I changed the parameter to Ch Pan. It works, i can move the faders and I can also move the pans. I assume that if the P-1600 had 16 Channels instead of 8. I would then be able to control 16 of the Faders.

When I load up HUI profile I can control the Fader on th Fostex, But I cannot control any of the Faders.

The Fostex is fully reprogramable as far as CC# and Program changes.
