Default Digi CoreAudio Manager doesn\'t recognize MBox2 Pro

Hi,
first my configuration: Mac Mini 2,0Ghz, MBox 2 Pro, Pro Tools LE 7.3. Well, I haven't got it for a long time and there were already problem enough with the installation, it worked for a few weeks, but now everything seems to be totally wrong. I can't open Pro Tools anymore, and Digi CoreAudio Manager says:

Digidesign HW: Unsupported Device
Status: Not Connected (HW not found)

One could suppose that there is a problem with the connection but the funny thing is that Mac OS's System Profiler DOES recognize the MBox 2 Pro.
So does anyone have any clue what's happening inside my Hardware?
Hoping desperately for help!

Mbox 2 Pro does NOT need Digidesign CoreAudio Manager.
CoreAudio Driver allows Mbox 2 Pro to be controlled thru AMS and Preference Pane in System Preferences.
This is a good thing because not only will all client apps play thru Mbox 2 Pro while Pro Tools is open, it will also permit Finder preview (Quick Look) contrary to Pro Tools HD interface which needs Digi CoreAudio Manager.

You need to add your entire spec. I don't know why people don't all the time at the DUC.

What OS are you using? I imagine it's OSX 10.4.X as PT 7.3 is not supported on OSX 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, right?

Scroll down the below link until you find:

Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Compatibility Information

There's some information there about PT not starting.
