Default MPC2000XL & 002R

I use a 2000XL with Pro Tools 7.3 & 002R. ??I want to be able to trigger my plug-in drum samples via midi, but recently, I noticed that when I use the "tap tempo/note repeat" option with Pro Tools, I get a weird swing/quantize pattern on input (that isn't typically there if I'm using the MPC on it's own). ??Basically, all I want is to have it so that if I try to record a 16th note repeat pattern into Pro Tools from the MPC, that it sounds as "tight" as it would if I was using the MPC stand alone. ??Does anyone know of a fix?

Oh, I forgot to mention that when I try to do the same thing with Reason & the MPC, everything sounds fine.

Thanks
