hello,

I wonder if I need an ilok for any new demo versions (universal audio for example). on the website they ask me to download the interlok driver.
at the moment I work on pt 5.1.1 mixplus and would like to try some new stuff.

can anyone help?

thank you

I don't think so. Why don't you just try one?

It's on a per-plugin basis. e.g. You can run an Auto-tune demo for 10 days without an iLok, but you can't run a Univ. Audio 1176 plugin without iLok.

Yes, you can plug the iLok into a PC that's online and get the demo auth installed there. Then plug it into the Mac and be able to run the demo. You'll also need a way to get the demo file onto the Mac, however.

And yes, you need an iLok to run some of the new plugin demos, such as all the Universal Audio ones, all the ones from McDSP, etc, etc.

You email them your iLok acct. email, and they deposit a demo into your account, which you can then download into your iLok.
