Default Dual Monitors

Is it possible to run a dual monitor setup with Pro Tools LE (Mix + Edit Windows)?
How do you go about doing this? What do you need?

Cheers
Joe

You will need a dual head video card.

I beleive the current one being popularly recommended is the ATI 9600, but there are lots of others.

I have the ATI 9200 SE and it works great. Depending on which monitors you are using, you might need a DVI to VGA adapter, but some of the cards come with them (mine did).

As for how to set it all up, a search of this forum for "dual monitors" over that past year should turn up a ton of threads where that has already been addressed.

You need a card that supports dual monitors - most new ones do. The included software lets you configure the rest (monitor one, monitor two, freq, etc..), then you simply drag the screens around the way you like them.

At least 6.4 opens the sessions the way I left them, screen-wise.

Highly recommended.

Matrox Millenium G550 works fine here : Athlon processor, Asus A7N8X MoBo, 2 different TFT screens.

Very simple.
