Pro Tools LE Transport Window Play/Rec Button Wacky! Anyone?!?!?

Hi, I just bought the digi 001 for PC setup, and after playing with Protools 5.0.1.337 for a little have noticed some weird application behaviour, mainly:

- On the transport window, sometimes I'll left-click the Record button, which will cause it to turn red. Other times when I left-click the record button it will only change the recording mode (indicated with a 'D' or a 'P' or the 'Loop' symbol)...WHY??!?!?!

- On the transport window the Play button sometimes does this. I think that it propagates to other functionality in the application also.

Could this be mouse incompatibilities? I'm using a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical (sorry I don't have the driver version handy)

As a last note I'm using a Celeron 525mhz on an ASUS P3B-F (Intel 440BX AGPset chipset) motherboard. Btw I know it's not on the recommended CPU list and I'm upgrading to a PIII 800 soon.

Thanx if anyone knows why this wacky stuff is happenin' and what I can do to feel a little better about the app!
