Any word when Waves will be Silicon native?
I see WUP is on sale but not much interest in upgrading until Ver 14 is truly native. I though for sure this would be the case by now. C'mon Waves !

Re: Any word when Waves will be Silicon native?
Sardi covered it.
It was native in v13. You might want to catch up to what's happening.

There was a very long thread about it not so long ago, where terminology was much discussed (it IS very confusing). https://duc.avid.com/showpost.php?p=2667529 . It is so confusing even Waves support was confused when I asked, but 14.8 is the definitive answer as to when you can run PT AAX Waves plugs natively.

Waves were one of the very first manufacturers who provided AAX Silicon compatibility when Pro Tools 2022.12 came out. Unlike many other renown plugin vendors. Honestly I certainly have come to appreciate that and I will consider it on future plugin purchases for sure. Not going to buy a lot from those who are not willing to support AAX Silicon properly in the future anymore. Like mentioned by other users here already. Cheers, people. |

Re: Any word when Waves will be Silicon native?
Yes they were late with Rosetta support originally, but thats because they had plans to skip it entirely and went straight to AARM Native.
In doing so they were among the first to support it natively. |
