I've been working with mono audio files one at a time in a 1 track session.*
Able to work for a while with no issues when suddenly, I can't select the audio clip that's currently in the track lane. It's random and not sure the exact steps to reproduce. Just playing back & doing some scrolling & zooming with the mouse wheel usually just before. I've been clicking in the (grabber tool) area when it happens. After trying to select a few times, the first half of the clip disappears and then the rest of the clip disappears entirely. The clip is still visible in the clip list and I'm able to select that same clip & drag it to the timeline again to resume playback. I'm simply listening back to each mono file one at a time while trying out various mono>stereo processing plugins. *24bit 44.1kHz session files Slip mode with Grid disabled Each clip is a whole file with no edits applied Update: Happening in both 2022.9 & .7

Can you post a video of what’s happening here? Not quite following your issue. My first intuition is you’re using the trim tool to select your clip, which would cause anything before or after your cursor point to disappear from the timeline.

I'm unable to capture to video at this time and don't know how to recreate it exactly. I'll try and get a screen shot next time the left half of the clip disappears. I can select and remove a whole clip on the timeline for a while before it happens. The first sign it's about to happen again is that NOTHING happens when I click on the clip with the grabber tool. No selection or trimming. It just freezes for a second. And when I try clicking inside the clip again with the grabber tool (bottom half of the clip), only the left side disappears before disappearing entirely. Tried recreating with the Trim Tool and the results of that are different then what's happening disappearance-wise. No auto-created clips are appearing in the bin either. Thank you though. I clarified my original post a bit. I'm usually trying to select the clip after payback has stopped.

Even a video taken with your phone should suffice. A screen shot may not provide enough workflow information.

I'll try to capture it next time it happens.
All I'm doing is playing back an audio clip, scrolling/zooming in & out horizontally with the mouse wheel from time to time. Then selecting the clip to remove it after playback. Happens 1 outta 20 times or so that I can't select the clip. I can still work I just have to be careful as it seems to happen when I start working faster using the space-bar for playback and clicking in and out of the clip bin.

Almost nabbed a screenshot of the first part of the clip disappearing but the rest of the clip vanished when I went to focus in a bit more.
Doesn't look like it's been reported by anyone else so it's likely particular to my system. It also happens in 22.7 so can't exclusively blame .9. Oh well, not a showstopper since I can drop the same audio clip to the track again when it happens.
