Ever since I upgrade to pro tools 9 almost every time I switch sessions or import session data into a new session it crashes pro tools. And I sometimes have to import data 2 or 3 times before it will stay open. There's gotta be something I have turned on wrong. I've done the 9.0.2 updates as well and it still does it. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I also have some problems with it importing auxillary volume levels when I do match tracks. All my aux's will be at +6 for some reason, but everything else will match (except my vocal tracks, which is a problem no one here has been able to help me with! haha. No matter what, my vocal levels will never ever match with match tracks and I have to do them manually). So, if anyone can help out with any of these problems, that'd be great!

What have you already done to try and sort this out?
There are the obvious things such as trashing databases and preferences, do you make images and have you tried re-installing PT fresh.. etc... at al... ad naseum. Personally I'm still on 9.0.0 on an 8 core Mac Pro (2 x 3.0 ghz) running 10.6.5. There are newer out there for bot PT and OSX, but my system is working very well.. so I'm not touching it until I buy a couple of new drives and load different setups to make sure they work as well.. but that's just me. I always keep a spare, working drive around so that if something goes wonky I can be back up with a couple of minutes. Let us know what you've tried...

Can you trash databases with HD?? I haven't been able to find any as that was my first thought coming from LE previously. I haven't really done anything but the update as I haven't known where to start! I've made several other posts about these problems with no responses. So, I had no clue where to go. Ever since the update, it's whacked out all my I/O settings, too. I wouldn't have updated it if I didn't think it might solve my other problems!

There are some session import bugs for sure I have no idea what they are exactly but unchecking overwrite current i/o on import helps but it not full proof.
I noticed this bug pop up when I upgraded 2 Avid I/O's now my old session templets are buggy as hell when I import session data |

Yeah, I've had that unchecked all along. I've had it create all new I/O settings even with my original templates with new sessions. Very strange.

Looks like Spectrum is crashing on session reload:
12698888972,08007,0e0f: Access Violation: Stacktrace: 0x2de60fd5 : - (bs-spectrum @ 0x2de3c000) 0x2de6145e : - (bs-spectrum @ 0x2de3c000) 0x35afd3f7 : - (VW_bs-spectrum @ 0x35aec000) 0x35afbf47 : - (VW_bs-spectrum @ 0x35aec000) 0x35aefcf5 : - (VW_bs-spectrum @ 0x35aec000) 0x35af3072 : - (VW_bs-spectrum @ 0x35aec000) Its either out-of-date, or wrong version, etc. Try checking on its validity. Maybe remove it and see if crashes go away. Cheers, -tv
