Default Unable to Locate Digidesign Hardware

I have a problem with using Pro Tools LE 7.3. I have an Mbox 2. Whenever I try to start the program it gives me a dialog saying, "Unable to Locate Digidesign Hardware. Make sure your hardware is connected and turned on. Click "OK" when the hardware is ready.

On the Mbox2, the USB green LE is on, Input 1 Mic green LED on, and Input 2 Mic green LED on.

System Specs:
Asus P5QC Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200
Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT OC
Windows XP SP3
Mbox 2
Pro Tools LE 7.3
2x2GB Corsair XMS2 (PC-6400)
500 GB Seagate Barricuda(Internal)

I have re-installed the software numerous times and with/without plugins.
I have 2 Mbox2 and both give me the same error, tested them both out.
Tried new firewire cables.
Tried different USB ports
Installed Quicktime.
Tried updating but it installer said I do not have it installed or the program is corrupted and opted me to re-install which I did.

Default Re: Unable to Locate Digidesign Hardware

You say its an Mbox 2 but you tried different firewire cables?? Is it the USB Mbox 2, or the firewire Mbox 2 PRO? Assuming its the USB box, the best USB port to use are the ones near the keyboard and mouse ports on the back as they are mounted directly to the motherboard. I would uninstall using the ptnuke utility and start over and always use the same port(good advice with ALL USB devices anyway).

try uninstalling and reinstalling Pro Tools. Just pay close attention and ignore the found new hardware from windows.

When it says, Installing Drivers, some dialog windows pop-up saying that the driver is not windows signed and asks me to continue installation or stop. If I do not click it anything, the installation process does not continue.

That's normal for it to give the 'not signed" message. Continue anyway.
