Default Word Clock Question

Hello Forum I have a opportunity to pick up a Big Ben word clock, I've read that u can connect it to any PTLE hardware via s/pdif but is it still possible to record audio thru the adat lightpipe while using s/pdif for clocking??? or the other way around...can I still use s/pdif for audio while I use lightpipe to except external clocking... Thanks in advance for all help and advice!

Well yes, kinda. You'd also need to send the Big Ben clock to whatever your other digital device is so that everything is clocking from the same source.

Well, I would assume that if you set the 002 to "Slave" and linked the Big Ben to the ADAT or SPDIF source, that could do it.

Thanks, but can I use the other digital source for audio at the same time?

As I previously stated, this can be done as long as all the devices are clocking off the Big Ben. Sorry if that wasn't clearer.

I record through the optical in via an ADA8000 so in theory yes you can record Via the Optical In, using the Big Ben I don't know as I haven't tried it.
