Hi all,
I'm having what appears to be the same issue... I've hooked up an Akai MPK Mini MK3 to my Pro Tools 11, I've set everything up in Midi Studio by the books, and I'm still not getting any signal through my instrument track when I play the controller ![]() Note: I've noticed that every time I try to set up the controller in Midi Studio it keeps resetting the input to "none" when I leave the window, this is probably at the heart of the issue, but I still don't know how to remedy this... Thank yous in advance |

Is the MPK connected to the computer before you start Pro Tools?
Is it selected in MIDI input devices? Click the Setup menu, go to MIDI, then click MIDI Input Devices. Ensure it is checked. Do you have the instrument track record enabled? |

Yes to all of the above...I eventried to repair my PT installation...which ended up causing me a whole world of trouble after (I won't go into it here). Long story short, I've gone and reinstalled PT and I'll let yous know if it's changed anything.

Update: seems the problem is worse than I thought...every time I try to install PT it bricks my computer and I have to roll back to before the installation...guess it might be time to upgrade to 12

I'm not sure what you mean by bricking your computer, but if you are having issues re-installing Pro Tools, please start a new thread as this one will not get many views since its topic is about the MPK.

In this particular case, bricking means that after I reinstalled PT and restarted the computer (as the installer instructed me to do), the computer was unable to boot anymore. I ended up rolling back to before the installation and getting the latest edition, after which I was able to connect the MPK Mini and control midi with it.
