Exactly what its2loud said that with ilok via cloud you’d need to be connected to internet at all times so a physical ilok 3 is definitely the way to go (IMHO) of course. You can still choose to use cloud or ilok so win-win

Just wanted to point this out specifically as using ilok cloud may not work all the time depending on internet and you might not want to have internet on all the time either so having both as cloud doesn’t cost anything and an iLok 3 key is 50-ish bucks but if you wanna use other plugins that use iLok as copy pretectio then it is needed anyway. The old green ilok 1 will not work with the newer PT versions so if you have an older green ilok 1 key you need to tansfer the licenses over to a new ilok key preferably a ilok 3 as the ilok 2 is bit flimsy and plastic and we swapped all our 4 iloks to ilok 3 as soon as they were available since they are metal and feel much ”safer” if you drop it or whatever been there done that and it was hell on earth to get all the liceses to a new key even though wehave ZERO DOWNTIME insurance which is HIGHLY recommended and is a $25 a year insurance for your licenses which in all our iloks is 10’s of thousands of dollars soo $25 each a year is a must! And don’t forget to set TLC button to on after you activate zero downtime insurance :)
