Well, everything is working fine now. I finally decided on my own, since I was getting no success with Technical Assistance, to delete EVERYTHING Avid-related on my computer (except my files, of course) and re-install everything. I only use Sibelius, so it wasn't too complicated. Re-install Avid Link and Sibelius, along with Sounds which took quite a while, and it logged in fine and I was able to activate online. Something obviously got corrupted in the update and wasn't able to locate it. I certainly learned a lesson about updating without first checking! Time Machine is now running, too. Live and learn. (I'm also now signed up for a Mac OS and diagnostics class at my local CC; tired of flying blind.) |

Thanks Marianna! Rast did get back to me and confirmed that someone else is experiencing the same issue. They said they'll work with Avid to get it resolved. I'm not sure how long this will take but I hope it's soon because that plugin is mission-critical for a project I'm about to begin.

I try to leave all updates off and stay a version or two behind. I am still running Ventura. I may go to Sonoma now that it is completed. I have decided that a good way to do it is to always be one version behind so that the version I am on is complete for all but security updates.

That's why I create a new container when I'm ready to upgrade after the OS is been out awhile, I'll create a new container and install the new OS. I have Monterey, Sonoma and Sequoia on my NMVe. ![]() When a new OS comes out and OpenCore still does their magic, I add another OS. ![]()

Thanks again for checking on this though. I feel rather left out in the cold by Rast and don't sense any urgency, though my project is dead in the water until this is resolved. |
