Plug-ins expired?

Hi there,

My Perpetual License expired in February, but I've been hesitating to buy a new yearly update until Avid comes out with a new PT update.

I opened an older session today and the "Space" reverb was expired. I checked a few other Avid plug-ins and found a couple more that expired. According to my iLok, all of them are part of the Avid Complete Plug-In bundle, but many others in that bundle seemt to be working fine.

The ones that trigger an "expired" message are Space, Pro Compressor, Pro Expander, Impact and Eleven MkII. This is as far as I checked. Most of these disappeared off of the drop down plug-ins list when you click on an insert.

Is an update required to keep some of these working, but not all of them? Or can I just "refresh" somehow, and wait until I need the update because it has a one year time limit on it?

You either need an active update plan, active subscription, or alternately (and unlikely) permanent licenses for each individual plugin.

So you don't need to actually update PT but you do need the paid plan. The plugin bundle is a carrot. There are a crazy amount of threads here discussing this and which plugins "expire" but that's the basics.
