ILock Cloud Under Maintenance?

I woke up this morning to my Pro Tools Ultimate not loading. It couldn't find the license. So I started ILok license Manager and I see that my ILoks are both grayed out and I see the "ILok Cloud Under Maintenance" at the top of the window with a downtime start of the 19th at 8 am and ending at 9 am. I'm up to date with the latest version or License Manager so I'm not quite sure what to do at this point. Restarting the iMac doesn't help. Any suggestions?

Solved. For some reason, my iLok key wasn't being seem.

yeah I avoid the Cloud thing all together. Never really need it.

I used iLok Cloud for a year or so, and had very few problems, as my internet connection is very reliable. Once every few months there would be a few hours of ilok servers being down for a few hours, and it would be forewarned in emails.

Once or twice I had the cloud license not working at all, and thanks to Jeffro here on DUC, I learned the quick fix to iLok Cloud problems; in ilok license manager; flie menu; 'close ilok sessions'. And then open again.


I have a iLok key now. It's easier.

Glad you got this solved.

The note about the 19th is advance notice for December. Bookmark https://status.ilok.com in case you ever run into an issue and want to check status to know if you should troubleshoot something locally or if there is actually an issue.

I actually don’t use iCloud for licenses. It’s all either on an ilok USB or on my Mac. It was just strange this morning, because after having my ilok in the same USB port for years now, my Mac just wasn’t seeing it so Pro Tools wouldn’t start up. And then I opened up License Manager and saw that ilok was grayed out and the “under maintenance” notification, I never thought for a minute that it could actually be the USB port itself.
