Is Pro Tools QuickTime Server needed?
Is it something that can be disabled so it doesn't start up when PT 11 starts?
This is on a Windows 7 x64 machine. Thanks Greg

Re: Is ProTools QuickTime Server needed?
Pretty sure its required for PT. Is there some reason you want/need to not have it?

Re: Is ProTools QuickTime Server needed?
No real reason. It's not causing a problem. It's just that after building computers and optimizing them for years, I get OCD about processes running that I don't need, or in this case, one I'm not sure if I need.
I don't even have Quicktime on the PC. :) And I don't do video. I use VLC for most other audio playback. Thanks for the input!
