So being able to really expand that window is important.
I was wondering this myself. I hate the split screen editing.

I only read their email not the linked press release.

It's a typical Avid "but" situation. We support ARA2 now! BUT only one plugin.

Anyone from Avid here? Feels like a VERY important issue to get cleared up. No mention of Ultimate-only in the Avid or Pro Tools Expert articles - they need to come clean quick if that's how it is.

The announcement email said all Pro Tools users on a current subscription or perpetual license with current support plan. So all tiers. They have to know they'd get raked over coals if it was Ultimate only.

ARA was developed by Celemony (who make Melodyne) with Presonous (Studio One). ARA implementation is accommodated by working with the other developers (like Synchro-Arts) to accomplish it.

So it's not surprising that the first ARA implementation is for Melodyne, since:
1) Celemony developed the original protocol.
2) There is already Melodyne integration in Pro Tools.

But, believe me - I'm also looking forward to using ReVoice in a more integrated fashion, but it's still working fine for me the way it always has been, for now.

Definitely needs clarifying. Avid?

That’s not what the email I received says. Nowhere in either the title or the body does it reference it being for Ultimate only.

‘Melodyne ARA 2 is coming to Pro Tools

Work with Melodyne Directly in Pro Tools via ARA 2

ARA 2 integration is coming soon to Pro Tools, enabling you to quickly fix pitchy vocals, create harmonies, transpose tracks, and edit notes in real time—without roundtripping audio.

Whether using the included Celemony Melodyne 5 essential or other Melodyne edition, get ready to perfect parts and manipulate pitch and time faster and easier than ever before.’

I guess you can ask for clarification... but it does NOT say that
