Pro Tools doesn't fully load

Hello all,
I am a newbie to PT. I am trying to run PT on a G4 eMac. Hardware(Firewire 410) installed and PT is installed. During PT loading, the loading bar gets about half way across and disappears. That's it. The program title shows for a second in the upper left corner and then disappears.
I did the same installation on my lap and desktop PC without any problems.

Hi, after recently getting PT to work (intel based macbookbro) I have developed the same problem.
The program was working fine, and it seems the problem began after I restarted the machine.
Now, as you say, PT won't load, and the load bar gets to almost halfway, and then just shuts down. No error message.

Did you manage to find out the problem or have you tried re-installing PT?

Does anybody know what the problem is here?

Please start with the steps in the OS X Setup and General Troubleshooting sticky at the top of this forum, specifically those areas on trashing preference and database files.
