Default Using external devices....

All,

I recently (yesterday) installed a 96 TT patch bay in my studio. I love being able to route everything everywhere...especially on mixdown. I just want ot make sure im doing this right.

In the mix window where you add TDM and RTAS plugs, I select i/o and choose and output. ProTools then creates what I'll call a "loop" on the output. I make my patch to my 1176 and come back into ProTools and all is well, right? I see that it is adding latency and that proTools is compensating for it... however, the nubmer is orange instead of green. Is this normal? I see under i/o that there is a place to manually add delay values for outputs...do I need to mess with that?

Thanks in advance!!
