weird graphics glitch with Monterey

weird glitch here - and it makes it feel like the cursor is ofsett. going to fade a clip and it actually affects the clip above!!

trashing prefs sometimes gets rid of it. but how many times a day should that be necessary?


any one else seen this? ( check signature for machine etc )

I have never experienced this personally. Did you make a fresh install of 2021.12 on Monterey?

The only glitch I get is when importing a track from another session. It arrives greyed out and cannot be accessed. Then I have to expand the size of the mixer window to big faders and back again to make it work.

When I am in that muti-tool mode, hovering over the bottom right (for example) corner of a clip or edit will bring up the "crossfade" tool while hovering over the top right will bring up the "fade" tool. If you're only trying to add a fade-out then the upper right corner is the spot. Upper left for fade-in. Here's a short vid:

Although on your example there seems to be no waveform before the clip so it's hard to explain why "crossfade" is appearing ... your cursor is showing the crossfade tool so it thinks you are working on the track above.

Maybe try expanding the tracks vertically to Large and see if those tools make more sense?

Have your tried upgrading to macOS 12.3 to see if it fixes the problem? 2021.12 is officially supported by macOS 12.3. I am running this combination and it seems to be fine.

12.3 hasnt fixed it

and track height doesnt appear to make any difference either


not sure I'm brave enought for 22.4 at the min.

anyone else had a go?
