Default New 2 da game

I resently bought the digi 001, korg triton, and a pair of studio monitor's to kick off my first home studio. Also, have a new pIII with 256 MB, 2 HD 10 & 30 gig's. My thing is i am not getting any sound using midi in and out from KB to digi. I have done everything both manual's demonstrated. This is my fist time using a cpu based system, before I used an MPC 2000, Old 8 track, and a house stereo. So, if any one has any advice or knowlege to pass on it would be greatly appreciated. The music I produce is hiphop and r&b, but highly interested in rock, alternative, tech , and so on.

Welcome to the club. Someone here will definitely help you through this but your're going to have to provide more information.

1) How are your MIDI cables connected?

2) Do you have any other MIDI interfaces in your computer?

3) What are you seeing in PTLE?

4) Are the meters moving in your MIDI track?

5) Are you even able to record into the MIDI track?

6) Are the meters moving in your AUX track?

7) What input/outputs are selected in your AUX track?

8) How is your Triton audio connected to the 001?

9) What MIDI device is assigned to your MIDI track?

You might also perform some searches in this area and the PTLE For Windows Archive area for past discusions on MIDI problems.

mell,
One thing that hung me up initially is this. Once you've created a Midi track, be sure to create an Aux. track, too, and assign it to your Korg's plug channels(3&4 in mine) or you won't hear anything.

Have you done that?

Let us know, Roy

I just got done doing some midi tracks after adding an aux at the end of the eighth track. I guess I was thinking I didn't need anything but the midi tracks.(no jokes) Now, the next move is getting user friendly with midi, PTLE, & Triton or just use so audio tracks. Goodlookin on da advice B.Ray & Roy ,Be easy!
