I'll second the SoundJam recommendation.

However, if you're converting to 128kpbs, 44.1mHz for MP3.com or whatever, they all sound like garbage.

I bought the Sound Jam and converted an audio track (160, 44.1), and can hardly hear the difference.
Then I tried to burn a CD using the newly converted file but no luck. I did this in past with some non Sound Jam formats it worked fine. What's the solution?
Thanks!

What are you using to burn the CD?? Did you know Toast automatically converts mp3's to audio files for burning?? Problem is, it's not very good at it, so many times you end up with a coaster.

Make sure Toast is set to burn an ISO disc, then go for it...
