video freezing

Hello,

My video freezes up in random places when I'm in play. When I stop and play again it's solved.

I just installed HD12(empty bankaccount), running PT 11 before this and it worked fine.
Only now I'm running Yosemite.

I tried Motion Jpeg and DNxHD convert via MpegStreamclip but problem remains.

I need a solution fast because my first project in my home setup is coming up in september.

I'm about to embark on a similar endeavor. Running PT12.1HD on a MacPro 6.1 Thunderbolt on Yosemite. I hope I can get it to work. One thing I read about was the importance of having your video files on a dedicated or at least a separate fast drive from the system and audio.

What are your system specs? Does it happen in the video window, external monitor, or both? I use several different codecs (DNxHD, ProRes, H264) in PT12 on Yosemite with a thunderbolt Blackmagic Intensity and don't have any issues.

I'm gonna try a faster disk for my video's. Don't use Blackmagic cards.
The thing is that it use to work fine with my early PT11 setup. I mixed a whole realityshow season with it.

I am a post production sound editor. Works on mac, PT-12HD and Blackmagic Video card.
I have some freezing video problems.
Q_time DV pal, mp-4
I have a ssd hard disc, special for video files.
anyone can help?
Is a Graphic card with 4 outputs will help?
( a screen to edit, a screen to the mixer and plugins, and a TV for the movie)

I have the same problem, working with blackmagic card.
The sollution, maybe, is to use g_Card with 4 outputs, and plug your TV to one of them.
The best is to use Q_time DV pal, or MXF files.
