Dear Pro Tools users,
I live abroad (not in USA) and would like to ask about something.
As an academic staff member working in a college, can i purchase the Pro Tools Academic Version?

I don't know the answer to that, but I'll ask. Your Avid reseller should know though, if you contact whoever you were thinking about purchasing from. If any of the faculty at your school (or other school in your region) teach classes for any Avid audio or video products, they would more than likely know as well.

The reseller is confused aswell, and i don't think i know any colleagues that use that or can be of any help at this stage.

You would buy the Teacher version of Pro Tools. A link to the eligibility requirements for students and teachers is here:

If you fit into those guidelines, you should be fine. That said, not sure exactly where to buy the Teacher version in Kuwait. Check with Studica as they are an academic reseller worldwide.

I will be buying it online where they will send me the ilok.
I am deffinitly fit into the category. I will be providing the seller a certificate from my employer (i college i work in) and a copy of my badge.
I hope this will make me eligible to buy it. Can't wait!
