Default no video in 10.3.6????
Im not getting any video playback in 10.3.6.
PT 11 no probs. I have MC7 installed if that is of issue....I hope not though as until plugs are available I will mainly be using 10.3.6
Is there a fix for this issue?

I'm not sure I can help you, but maybe you should offer some more specifics to your question.

Can you clarify what you mean by 'not getting any video playback'?
Can you import picture onto a video track? Will the Pro Tools timeline run when you press play? Do you just get a black screen instead of the picture?

Hi

If I load an aaf file in 10.3.6 which contains video and audio, the audio loads, the video is there in a block and named but wont playback, won't adjust from blocks to thumbnails. Just wont play full stop. The audio plays - Video appears to not be present. All options for Video playback are greyed out

If I load the same aaf into 11 its fine.

There has been talk of issues surrounding this with MC7 and 6.5 users, however this has up to now been to do with MC6.5 and 11.

Its really frustrating...

If its an aaf file import the settings come in as source

Have you tried created a blank session and importing the .AAF as session data?

Yes - it seems to be a more aaf related issue. If I directly import video it appears as thumbnails - still wont play either via quicktime or via blackmagic card to video monitor. BMD say no known issues....
All is fine with PT11 - just 10.3.6 is playing up......however its 10.3.6 I need working....

Protools 10.3. Does not work as a co- install with MC7 -they use different video engines - you will have to go back to MC 6.5 or 6.0
Only Protools 11 works with MC 7 and only MC7 works with Protools 11

If thats true why are they supposed to co-exist? (Avids statement - not mine) this makes the whole concept of being able to run both versions of tools whilst awaiting third party plug-in support laughable and ridiculous if you work with video.
