Exclamation "DAE Loaded" hang - Old Problem, New User

Hello all. I have been using Pro Tools 7.0 with an Mbox 2 on my computer for a while, and it loaded great. I only use the default plug-ins and such that can with the PT 7.0 CD and nothing else, but lately, it just loads to DAE Loaded and will not go past it. I have:

- Deleted the folders identified in the General Troubleshooting FAQ.

- Optimized as per the Digidesign site's parameters.

- Updated ALL of the drivers in my system, even flashed the mobo to the latest firmware.

- Updated PACE.

- Uninstalled and reinstalled Pro Tools (through Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs) about 20 times or so.

- Used every available USB port with my Mbox 2.

- Tried different USB cables.

I haven't turned off my network adapter because I need it for what I'm doing with Pro Tools. I use Pro Tools to use my microphone while DJing through Winamp, since I cannot go direct from the Mbox into Winamp. I have to use PT, send the sound out of the headphones jack into the line-in on my soundcard, then from there adjust volume and put it through Winamp.

I am at my wits' end with this, and don't know what else to do. None of the other posts about this issue are about this version of PT, although I have tried anything that seemed to relate to my setup as I could in those posts to no effect.

Below is my Sandra Hardware Report. My system is self-built. Any help getting this to finally stop would be greatly appreciated. And just to clear it up, I'm too poor for a version upgrade of PT, or I would happily get PT8. : )

There might be something corrupt in the user permissions of windows itself. I'm sure there is something you can modiy to get what you need, but I have a quick fix that might work.

Create a new user in windows and log in to it, Try Pro Tools from there and see if it works.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. I made sure to make the account an Admin account and restarted after creating it, but to no effect. Thank you for your reply though.

Sorry man, that's worked for me. It's the way it is with Pro Tools... everybody seems to need a unique solution.

Make sure if you have Internet Explorer 8 installed that you roll it back to IE7. Single most common cause of Hangs right now.

Nope running IE7 (would happily uninstall if I could).
