M-Audio Fast Track Ultra on El Capitan

Hi,

I just wanted to report that my audio interface is not recognized under Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan (Golden Master) with the latest driver (2.3.3 from Dec. 2014).

I know that this interface is a bit older but are there plans for compatible drivers?

I would also love to know if and when there will be an El Capitan Driver.
My FT Ultra 8R is like a brick otherwise.

I've inquired as to how long devices will continue to receive driver updates. I'll post back when I have that info (it might not be specific to the FTU).

The M-Audio division was sold by Avid and the new M-Audio company is not making the Fast Track interfaces anymore.

I really hope we'll get a driver quickly, I was almost off to my dealer today to pick up a Focusrite Scarlett.

Right, Avid retained the Fast Track devices when they sold M-Audio to InMusic.

RE the Scarlett, I'm quite happy with my 18i20.

I googled a little and it seems there is a general USB Audio problem in El Capitan, many interfaces don't work right now.

I did notice on my Mac/El Capitan GM, under System information - USB , my FastTrack Ultra 8R is listed. So the USB bus does detect the interface but the driver fails.

Same here.

My IK Multimedia StealthPlug works.

10.11.1 Beta is out, problem persists.

EDIT: I'm back on Yosemite.

Yes 10.11.1 Beta still same issue here, might wait until after 30 Sept. El Capitan public release is out then.
