PT9HD and Tascam DM4800?

Hi all,

Is anyone using PT9 HD (Native or TDM) with a Tascam DM-4800 desk? I am about to purchase PT and would like to get HD if it is compatible with my desk (and firewire).

I can't speak much about the DM4800, but I do have the Tascam Dm24 working well with my HD Native and an HD I/O 16x16 digital via TDIF. It sound much better having the HD I/O 16x16 digital as the master clock via word clock. It also works well as a HUI controller. The HUI functions are similar to the mackie
controllers. I've heard other say the DM4800 works even better.

Thanks for the reply zion - much appreciated.

I want to use the firewire / ASIO connection to my DAW directly rather than going through another I/O. The seller assured me that it works via ASIO so I pulled the trigger and ordered PT9HD - it will probably take a week to get here so I'll post again once I get it working (or not.....).

Am looking forward to using this system and the surround features too.

My guess would be that in this case the performance would depend upon
the quality of the ASIO Drivers.
