Blue screen o death 8.04 windows 7, 003 rack firmware upgrade

Anyone know why? It had the update then I used the 003 with my old computer 7.3.1. It updated / reverted back on that system now I am unable to
get the 003 rack updated to work with my new computer with windows 7. I tried the aux 7/8 and mute hold on 003 startup with no luck.

Why do you need to update without launching Pro Tools? I would launch PT and let it do its thing. BSOD might be due to outdated PACE interlok drivers, so if you can connect to the internet, go into Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager and right-click and update drivers for everything there(other than the mundane stuff like mouse, keyboard and processor). Anyone else in your area with an LE system running PT8? Maybe you could hook up to their system and run the firmware updater(I don't believe that is causing your BSOD).

Uuuugh! I uninstalled pro tools and reinstalled. It started up and ran fine. I then installed all of the plugins that came with my production toolkit etc. I updated strike and tried to update hybrid but sone ilok issue was there. I went to ilock and synced the ilock and updated it. Now pro tools won't get past the very first window in it's startup sequence? How do I update all of my plugins? I looked for trillium labs site and can't find it etc. I'm lost please help. Thanks

Just the first pro tools 8.04 window without the background window as seen when pro tools is open / without a file loaded. No plugins loading yet either just the initial logo with my hourglass working for infinity.

Forgot to mention I have an brand new asus essentio from best buy with the qualified FireWire card from guitar center. Windows 7 64 bit. Pro tools 8.04 that worked before installing the plugins off my version 7.1 music production toolkit I bought with my 003 rack 3 years ago or so. I have other plugins all registered such as tl space, and more tl stuff as well as strike and other included production toolkit plugins.

it's the original MPTK that is causin' the problem. it's been discussd quite a bit here recently. you need the MPTK2 installer or .DLL file from that installer. if you uninstall the toolkit you should get up and runnin'. but that IS your current problem. do a search and you'll find some recent threads.

You should also post the Sandra report on that computer so the experts can look for any hardware issues(just to be sure).

I use those toolkit plugins allot. Am I out of luck now?
