Re: sizzling problem , PT first and scarlett solo 2nd
Try Reaper and see if the problem remains. If so, it's a problem with your interface and/or your computer. If the sound goes away, PT is having a problem with your interface and/or computer.

Not repair, REAPER - another DAW - to be sure it's a Pro Tools issue and not your interface's hardware and/or drivers. Go to www.reaper.fm.

Re: sizzling problem , PT first and scarlett solo 2nd
I've experienced a sizzling sound like you described before, typically when I'm doing too much at the same time.. like having a Flash Game running or something like that. See what things are taking up too many of your computer resources and remove some if you can.
You can also try increasing the amount of host processors in Setup - Playback Engine .. but usually when that's a problem, its more of a crackle not a sizzle. Hope this helps |

Re: sizzling problem , PT first and scarlett solo 2nd
ok , the problem isn't the software I think because sometimes there is no sizzle and I did a project with one track and no sizzle .
My config windows 8.1 64 bit mothercard asus h81l plus process intel core i3 4130 3,40ghz ram 8gb Amd radeon hd 6570 and focusrite scarlett solo 2nd pro tools first I think the problem it's the process or a plug in , but when I go in playback engine , I can't increasing the amount of host processors . thanks for you help |

Re: sizzling problem , PT first and scarlett solo 2nd
Some Scarletts don't like low buffer settings, I would try to set at no less than 512
