PT 10 Snap shot store and recall on the Artist Control
I have been able to get this to work but not consistently. Hard to pin down what I'm doing right or wrong
I'm looking for the correct sequence of commands to capture and store/save snapshots. |

Re: PT 10 Snap shot store and recall on the Artist Control
I don't have the Artist Control yet, but before I get I would like to know the answer too. Is it similar to the way Preview and Capture work?

PT 10 Snap shot store and recall on the Artist Control
You use regular capture and just store snapshot and number of snapshot, 1-48
I have not had any problems with this.

Re: PT 10 Snap shot store and recall on the Artist Control
Does it save whatever is present in the Capture buffer?

Re: PT 10 Snap shot store and recall on the Artist Control
Thank you.
Is there a way to import snapshots from another session with the same tracks and plugins layout?

Re: PT 10 Snap shot store and recall on the Artist Control
Does not seem to work with session import data unfortunatly. Guess it is just for the Icon consoles.

Re: PT 10 Snap shot store and recall on the Artist Control
I finally got the Artist Transport and I am testing snapshots functionality but somehow I am doing something wrong:
I have the following Soft Keys: - Save Snapshot - Snap 1 - Clear Snapshot Latch Prime In Stop enabled, I am adjusting faders, I hit CAPTURE. I can use PUNCH CAPTURE to recall my changes. After pressing CAPTURE I do the following: 1. I press Save Snapshot, the button Save Snapshot starts flashing. 2. I press Snap 1 and light on the button Snap 1 turns on. 3. Then I try to recall the snapshot by pressing Snap 1, but the only thing that happens is Snap 1 button flashing. When I clear the snapshot, Pro Tools opens a dialog window asking me if I really want to clear the snapshot. After clearing Snap 1 button light turns off. So definitely the snapshot is stored but it's either empty or I am failing to recall it.

Re: PT 10 Snap shot store and recall on the Artist Control
I figured it out!
The key is to use PUNCH CAPTURE from the Artist Transport / Control after recalling a snapshot. It will not work if you press PUNCH CAPTURE in PT automation window using mouse. Page 136 and 137 describes it nicely: http://akmedia.digidesign.com/suppor..._v80_56078.pdf

Re: PT 10 Snap shot store and recall on the Artist Control
I tested it and it actually works with Artist Series. It is worth reading all ICON manuals. The rules for ICON Snapshots apply to Artist Series.
