Default Tempo Questions

my problem is that ill import a click like a hat hit, put it on the grid every 1/4 note then dup it about 1oo times. now if i decide to change tempo must i erase and do it over, because when i change tempo the click doesnt stay with the grid it gets off. any ideas?
also if anyone has some tips on laying clicks in grid mode i would appreciate.
thanks ahead of time....

Very Simple....put in grid mode (obviously to the BPM you want) put that click file on the let say Bar 1. Highlite on complete BEAT hit Option R and it will ask you How Many Times to Repeat....( I always Exagerate and put 500 Times) "BAM" done.

If you have to change it to a new Tempo. Then Delete all the Clips exept for one of them and repeat it. It only takes 10 more seconds of time to do this.....I use to see people hit Command D ....and spent for ever duplicating.....

That seriously sucks.

in cubase, you can just change the tempo and all the events snap to different bars. no need to recreate the entire drumloop all over again.

i'm frustrated with this part of ProTools as well.

Ummm, use the click plug in?! It changes with the tempo changes, just can't see it.

Pro Tools is a sample based application, not tempo based -- either use the click plug-in.. or Reason for your click track. MIDI events will follow changes in tempo.

For small tempo changes, you can sometimes get away with adjusting the audio regions with Command+Zero (Ctrl+zero under Windows) to quantize regions.
