Default Johnson J-Station with Digi 001

I have a J-Station amp simulator and Digi 001. I want to use the J-Edit software to Edit presets. I hooked up the J-Station's MIDI ins and outs to the Digi OO1 Interface and when I try to launch the J-Edit software I immediately get an error saying that no MIDI ports are recognized. I have the J-Station set to recognize all MIDI channels so I can't figure out why it isn't working. Anyone have any suggestions or experience using this set up.
Thanks
