-1103 protools ultimate
I keep getting this error. I reinstall the hd driver and it goes away then comes back. Not sure whats happening here or why the error keeps happening.
Latest version of protools ultimate windows 10 64bit. Intel 10th gen I9. Z490 gigabyte vision g board and 64 gigs of ddr 4 ram. |

I've never seen this one. What interface? Update drivers for graphics, network, USB, etc(basically, everything in Device Manager). Also, since Windows 10 updates can reset certain system tweaks, review all to make sure they are still set as required by PT.

What interface hardware are you running? HDN? HDX?
Just try rebooting the computer... any improvement? Does Digitest fail with 1103 as well? FYI https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/ar...g/AAE-1103-HDX (pretty sure it is normally a fault inside the HD Driver that causes this... like a buggy driver or unseated card or faulty card... can you test with a different card or even an ASIO interface?). |

I’m using an HDX card with a 16X16 and two lynx Aurora interfaces.
I get about a day and the -1103 comes back. Reseated cards and it still is doing it. Reinstalling hd driver fixes it temporarily. I haven’t tried digitest but I’m assuming this is when the card fails test? |

And I do not have another card to try. It’s working great right now after reinstalling driver.

Mayve reseat the HDX card again.... Check it all over and see it looks OK, and power connection seem OK? Grasping at straws here.
I suspect a problem with 1103 is it's a driver initialization error, with multiple possible root causes. HDX folks might know more, might have been better to post to the HDX forum, or since nobody else is replying here maybe live dangerously and post another thread there (but references this one to be nice to folks). And just general HD troubleshooting, I'd always go back to the simplest possible sysetsm you can build and test with that. HDX Card and one interface, one digilink cable and see... although in this case I don't think it's likely a problem past the HDX card or it's software. Such a rare issue I'm guessing it's more hardware likely... but you might want to spin up a clean new Windows install on a test partition and just see if that behaves differently. I know this has to be a PITA, and if it is hardware you want to get to support help before it dies outright and you can't work. If you can't make progress I'd get onto Avid support.
