Default venue standalone software for mac?

Sorry if this has been discussed, didn't really found it.
So is it planned? Is there any workaround?

Essentially, it would take a certain amount of effort to port the software to run natively on mac. So instead of doing that they've opted to focus on making the console better and apply their resources there. The general feeling is that running a bootcamp or parallels solution is satisfactory...

That's the quick summary of what has been discussed before and the answers provided by the fellas at digi.

the other point that should be recognised here is that the Venue itself runs on XP (Embedded i presume) and so the software runs natively on a PC. Porting to Mac is therefore something that needs a whole lot of software work.

I have parallels run in coherence mode and so it runs right there.

you are correct sir it is XP Embeded... and yes it would take too much for it to be ported to the mac, I use fusion with xp and it works great.

I don't think it is. The yamaha software almost always has to be run with the console where the avid editor is just an offline editor, and has not baring on the console while it is in operation. If yamaha is using it's editor as a selling point I believe they have bigger issues than avid with regards to their consoles.
