Need Help installing plugins...

Hello all

My setup is MBox2 Mini (plugged into left side usb port as recommended by digi), ProTools LE 7.3.1cs4, MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo 2GB memory. External drive is EZQuest 160GB 7200RPM Firewire 800.

I have recently switched to Mac and I am having much difficulty installing plugins. I have tried various types of plugins including free online, free digi plugins, and others. For whatever reason, after installation, they do not appear in the plugins window. They also do not appear in the AudioSuite menu. My friend said it is because I have an intel-based Mac and there was something I needed to run/install but I could not find it.

Well, you need to be sure that the plugins you are installing are the "LATEST UB (Universal Binary) or INTEL versions of the plugins.

if you install older PPC (PowerPc - ie G4, G5) versions of the plugins, they won't load when Pro-Tools loads, and won't show up in Audio Suite, or in your plugins list.

All of the manufacturers will have UB or Intel versions on their site, or through contacting their customer service, or Support.
