Reason 6 not working as an insert in PT9
I need to record reason 6 synths live into PT9.0.6 session. I spent 2 hours picking my brain on why this isn't working and have had no success.
The issue is whenever I load Reason 6 as an insert I am not getting ANY type of audio in PT. The rewire loads and launches Reason normally. The output is set as Mix L Mix R for now. I can see the output from Reason moving, but it is not registering in PT! Can someone shed light on this situation. This is costing me hours of work. Thanks, Ethan

Is for example Thor selected in the MIDI Output selector of the Pro Tools Instrument track? Looking forward to the release of Re format?

Yes, but it still doesn't work.
Even if you insert Reason plug-in on a stereo audio track, you should be able to hear the mix L mix R audio in pro tools. That's not even happening. Does anyone have any tips on how to get this worked out! Ethan

when you filp over the reason rack, where is the output going? If it is not where you have pt looking for it move it to the correct place, I think you said L and R.

Mac or Windows?
For Mac Reason 6 needs to be in 32bit. Get info √ 32 bit while pro tools is not active. Not sure but I imagine similar in Win.

When I flip over the Reason device, the audio is routed straight to my outputs, 1 & 2, which is the same as Mix L Mix R in Pro Tools, for now!
The other odd thing, is that when I try to route devices in Reason to anything besides outputs 1 & 2, it doesn't work. Reason doesn't even recognize my interface at the top of the input/ouput device on the rack when it is being controlled by Pro Tools. Not sure if this is supposed to be this way. I am running Mac OS X (Lion). Ethan

I don't have any issues on windows. Now that reason has the mixer, I have to re-rout any additional instruments I use more than what goes to the main out, but it works as expected for me on windows.
