Loop Playback minimum now 1 second?

The minimum timeline selection used to be 500ms for loopback. Now it appears to be a minimum of 1 second.

Are others seeing this?

Works for me until just a smidge over ~500ms until loop play kicks out. You have to be in slip mode and just over 500ms, if in grid mode at 500ms it does not work. So if thats worked before maybe a slight calculation/rounding error changed things. But it's does not seem as bad as needing 1 sec to work.

Pro Tools 2020.11 on macOS Big Sur, 2019 15" MBP.

So 1 person sees the same thing as I do and 1 does not.

I'm on Ult 2020.11 with High Sierra.
HDX system (that has made a difference before with transport issues.)

This is sounding like a bug.

Ah not so fast. I gave more details. I see loop playback does not work with a grid at 500ms and but it does with no grid just a little past 500ms. You don't provide any detail on if you are using a grid, at what resolution etc. With no grid and just playing moving the loop end marker thingy how short a loop can you get the loop to play back?

And yes good point on HDX.. I'm native.

My threshold for Loop Playback is still 500ms

It's 1 second threshold on my system of slip/grid/shuffle/spot. I usually run in Timecode mode, but it doesn't seem to change if I switch to Min:Secs, neither does changing the grid duration.

Not really anyone's business but the poster.
But a really easy reason is to find a glitch. Scrubbing doesn't always help in finding glitches but playback looping at normal speed does. You tighten the loop until it is only the glitch.

To the poster, no. No way to do it.
