Anyone used UAD-2 card with HDX?

I've never used UAD cards, but they have enough plugs I'm drooling over that I'm considering trying it out.

Anyone tried it?

I'm using a Quad satellite on my HDX3 system and it works!

Only problem is Ampex atr-102 causes rtas hiccups with buffer size of 256 or less...

Using 512 solves the problem..

My colleague has an HDX1 system with a DUO Pci-e and it works flawlessy..

Quad Satellite Firewire UAD-2 here as well. No problems so far!

Yup; I've 2x UAD-2 Quad Satellites working in pair...no problems.

May I ask why you chose the FW box and not the PCI card?

I think it would be for portability and he runs a macbook pro aswell as if you wanna buy a new Mac later on like imac or the new iSore aka macpro bin style with no card slots it is boxes and ext stuff all day long We have one Apollo Quad Interface and Apollo 16 in the studio room and an Apollo Quad box for the MBP retina in the production room and they are superb!

If you only need to run like 20-25 stereo or 45 - ish mono plugins you can go with the duo box and still have lots of dsp power for a great sound.
