About Norton Ghost

Ya. I made a backup of my laptops drive to my external drive. Yihaa

Ok. When I look at my Task manager, Norton Ghost has added about three processes more. Do you guys disable Norton somehow, or is not eating my PTLE-power?

Disable it. here's how:

hold down your windows key and hit r (run line) and type msconfig
in the system config utility go into the startup tab, and de-select GhostTray

go into your administrative tools (in your control panel) and double click your Services icon
find the service named Norton Ghost, double click it, and set startup type: Manual

reboot your computer and you are finished.

also note, when you run ghost again, it will say it cant connect to it's service. wait about 10 seconds and hit the 're-connect' button and it will work fine. (this is because the service you set to 'manual' has to start itself since it doesn't automatically start anymore.)
