Could you help me with this, please? - Calibrating a Scarlett 18i20

Hello, I just bought a Scarlett 18i20 interface and I have my monitors connected to the monitor output of the interface. The thing is, I have to turn the monitor volume knob half way to be able to hear the music at a decent volume (believe me, It's not loud) Is it the Scarlett? is the monitors settings? I notice that I can adjust the input sensitivity on the back of the monitors but I'm not sure how to use it. (-5 dB -20dB Max) I have the instructions here but I don't know what to do.

Here are the instructions and I hope you can help me.

"The PS5 Monitor has an additional front panel VOLUME CONTROL that effectively works in series with the rear panel INPUT SENSITIVITY control. The VOLUME CONTROL is useful for quick, uncalibrated adjustments from the front. With a full input signal applied, turn the front panel VOLUME CONTROL to maximum achievable output level preference. The front panel volume control will then attenuate from that operating point."

I know the instructions are clear but I don't know how to apply a full input signal so I can adjust the input sensitivity.

Put on a cd - max the computers audio output - turn it up slowly - did it blast u out?

If not then switch to -5 settings


But lower the interfaces volume knob first

That's the homemade way to do it...

the iPhone has some metering apps that are free if you really want to get into what kind of level you're actually supposed to be outputting and hearing - but that will take a bit more Study on your part

What cables are you using between the Scarlett and the speakers(and what exactly ARE the speakers)?
