Keep it simple -- I don't want to build my own system, but I need to upgrade from an older, noisy system. Budget is under $1000.

Will this system (link below) run PTLE 8.x OK?

This is not an ideal PT computer. One showstopper is the onboard video. of course you have likely already purchased something, this is 5 months ago.

Desktop, "on-board video" is now historic, it was when a cheap video controller chip-set was integrated into the Motherboard (like 64megs) and grabbed a IRQ. It might be hard to find a board made like that today.

The Intel processors are not on-board video. There is no technological reason that PT would have any issues with the i5-i7 intel HD Graphics 2500 - 4000.

And I can testify that works fine. Why wouldn't it?

Who knows? But while some rigs seem unaffected, many have had to add vid cards and shut down the onboard graphics.
