Default CD-Rom not playing audio CD\'s

Hi
I just formatted my system and did a fresh install of Win 98SE (yeah I know, I'm still on Win 98). The problem is that I cannot hear any audio when I play CD's thru my CD-ROM. Previously, it worked fine. I am using winamp as my media player. I would be most grateful if someone could help me fix this problem.

Thanks.

Clusterer,
Thank you for the reply. If you're referring to the wave driver on the PTLE CD, I have already installed it. I am able to play audio from my hard drive, PTLE recording & playback also works fine. It's just my CD-ROM that won't play any audio. When I do try to play audio thru my CD-ROM, winamp opens up and starts playing the audio but no sound on my monitors. Any clues? Maybe you need to enable digital playback in winamp (windows mediaplayer calls it DAE i think (digital audio extraction))

I never have use winamp, but this is what you need to do in the mediaplayer

Bastiaan,
Thank you. I did have DAE enabled but did not have the Digi 001 as my output device. Everything is fine now, thanks again
