Default Pro Tools 2022.10 not opening

Hello,

I just bought a Pro Tools Artist subscription and installed Pro Tools 2022.10 on OSX 10.15.7. It times out at startup.

What do I do?

Pro Tools version
2022.10
Pro Tools licenses
Pro Tools HD 10/11/12 and
Current Subscription
Audio hardware make & model
Apogee Symphony I/O via USB
Computer model and processor speed
MacBook Pro 3.1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7
Operating System version
OSX 10.15.7
Amount of Memory installed
16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

This doesn't add any new relevant information to my question. The computer and hardware are compatible.

It's not an activation issue. I tried both. I have unlimited speed fiber and a physical iLok. Currently it's on the iLok. It just bounces in the dock and then stops responding. No splash window or OSX menu bar at the top ever occur.

Preferences folder is empty as it never populated. It does the same thing with a brand new OSX Admin acct. and everything disconnected aside from iLok. I removed all unlicensed plugins from the plugin folders although it is not even getting to the point of scanning plugins.

I've reinstalled it twice since yesterday (through Avid Link) and will try installing it again (this time from Avid Download Center .dmg).

“ It's not an activation issue. I tried both.”
Okay, but we don’t know that if we don’t ask.
Good luck.

Does the PT icon bounce in the Dock but PT never opens and the icon eventually stops bouncing? I've seen that a few times. I've never discovered the exact cause but some combination of deleting PT prefs, zapping the Mac's NVRAM, and/or reinstalling PT always fixes it. Sometimes it's a simple as a restart but I'm sure you've tried that.

While installing PT you may need to keep the System Preferences >> Security & Privacy >> General tab open to give the installer permission to finish installing all the necessary pieces. (You probably need to unlock this panel to make changes).

You're supposed to get a popup question as you are installing but sometimes it doesn't happen and the installer will appear to be finished but actually hasn't - until you grant permission.

You also need to give the software permission to access files/folders or the entire drive. That's Prefs >> Security & Privacy >> Privacy tab >> scroll down to Full Disk Access and make sure PT is checked.

Just an idea.
