Default Digi002, metering the inputs

Will the LEDs on the rotary encoder be able to monitor the inputs ?

Will I, as an example, be able to set the gain of a preamp for a microphone using the meters ?

Thanks,

Nat

Yes they will moniter the inputs. if i am not mistaken they will serve many different purposes, just like v-knobs and leds do on digital boards.

I saw that in the answerbase that the meters were only post fader, meaning you can't monitor the inputs, is that true ?

Digi ?

When in Pro Tools mode, the meters reflect the mode chosen in the software. In other words, if Pre Fader Metering is chosen under the Operations menu, the LED arrays on 002 will show pre-fader levels. If this is not chosen, they will show post fader.

In standalone mode, the meters are always post-fader.
