Default New FW-410 User thinking of switching to PT

Hi all,
My wife and I are songwriters in Nashville. We've both been using Cubase for 5 years. She is using my old Delta 66 card and the Omni Studio and I just got a Firewire 410. My question, can I put Pro Tools M-Powered on our old Delta 66. I think it's at least 4 years old.
Thanks,
Rick

Delta 66 is listed as one of the supported interfaces for M-Powered.

Here is a link to the compability document (I just happen to be reading it over a lot today)

http://www.digidesign.com/compato/xp/ma/

Hope that helps.

I knew it was listed as compatible but I wasn't sure if that was only "new" Delta 66's since Avid purchased M-Audio or does it include older units.

I believe its actually the driver that holds the validation for Pro Tools and not the actually hardware card. I got this off of M-Audio's website while checking the download for the latest drivers for the Delta 66:

"Note Added: 3/8/2006: Certified to work with Pro Tools M-Powered 7.1 for Windows XP SP2. "

This still doesn't answer your question (well it would not for me). So what I would do is download the latest driver from M-Audio, install it. Then download the M-Powered Demo. If it works, then I would say it is safe to assume the real version of M-Powered will work as well.

I never thought about it that way. I'll bet your right! I'll try the demo tonight.
Thanks for your time,
Rick

Nagal,

i've got the m-audio firewire 1814. I want to use m-audio pro tools. I've got the Yamaha Motif 8ES.

Can you PLEASE tell me how can I get these three items to work together!!!!

Will pro tools recognize the Motif?

Please help!
