Question Frequence Analyzer
Hi!

I'm a new Pro Tools user and I could use some help from someone more adequate.

I am using Pro Tools LE and now I'm looking for a tool to analyze frequences with, using an equalizer.

Answers are much appreciated!

Welcome to the DUC..

There are any number of plugins that will analyze frequencies for you. Just google RTAS frequency analyzer.

Decide which one will serve your needs and go from there..

However, Why don't you first use the best frequency analyzer that you have, your ears. Listen instead of looking at what you are doing and make your decisions based on that.. after awhile then you can begin using the analyzer.

The trouble with ears is, they're so doggone undependable. Especially after half a bottle of wine.

Waves has a new EQ plug-in that has a number of different modes and a built in FFT. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks fantastic.

H-EQ smokes... Lots of nifty features. A very useful tool.

Try Fabfilter Pro-Q or DMG Audio's new Equick. Not dedicated analyzers (for that I would go with Audiofile Engineering's Spectre), but analyzers built into the EQ - both really nice GUIs.
